Young Voices information
-
We will be getting a coach to Sheffield Arena at 11:15am. The concert finishes at 8:45pm. We are aiming to be back for 11pm (if we are able to get away earlier - we will contact you all via email with an ETA).
-
We will not be offering a handover from the concert, as per the recommendation from Young Voices. This would result in the whole school waiting for the arena to be emptied before beginning handover proceedings. So, we will be heading back to school for the handover and all pupils will be collected from school.
-
We ask that pupils bring a packed lunch and a packed tea, along with plenty of water. If pupils are having a school lunch that day, we ask that you let us know in advance and we will ensure that Tracy provides a school packed lunch so we can travel with it. It's a long day, plenty of food is absolutely fine.
-
If you're coming to the concert - please find attached the parent flyer which has all the relevant information on including things like parking.
-
We will be taking a giant Burton Leonard banner with us - so keep an eye out for this when you get into the theatre! It does say binoculars are a good idea!
-
It is a late one - so the following morning (Wednesday 11th February) we will be offering a soft start to my class. This means pupils can arrive at any time up until 10:30am. If pupils do still arrive at the normal time - please be assured they won't be hit with heavy assessments or anything too testing/overwhelming.
-
If your child does not attend the concert they need to be in school between 8:45-8:55 for a normal start.
-
I've also attached a visual story that we have (and are going through) regularly in class for the event. Going through this will help alleviate some concerns/questions.
If you have any other questions or there's information missing - please let me know and I'll get the information out to you asap.
Kind regards
